What Documents Are Required For International Travel

What is the present scenario of international air travel?

International Travel has been disrupted for more than a year. I recently traveled internationally by air due to reasons I could not postpone. As a Doctor, I share my experience. I have shared details on how to ensure international air travel safety during COVID. In addition, you will see what documents are required and what to expect.

Are there Country Specific Requirements to travel outside the USA?

Yes. Every country have their own requirements. In general, the destination outside the USA either require a negative RT PCR test or a proof of vaccination. What are the Requirements to enter the USA?

The USA has specific requirements. Here is the excerpt i have copied and pasted from the CDC website “If you plan to travel internationally, you will need to get a viral test no more than 3 days before you travel by air into the United States (US) and show your negative result to the airline before you board your flight, or be prepared to show documentation of recovery (proof of a recent positive viral test and a letter from your healthcare provider or a public health official stating that you were cleared to travel).” Further details can be found in this link below

The CDC has laid forth guidance for all countries on their website. They have recommendations about general travel and also about COVID specific requirements. You can go this website below and click on your country of interest and find all the required information.

The CDC has provided guidance for travel to India. They have also specific recommendations for vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers. All these details can be found on the CDC website below:

What are Specific requirements for travel to India?

Before traveling, you will have to upload documents on the AirSuvidha Website. This will generate a pdf emailed to you along with a specific number. The pdf should be shown at the airprot.
